This is the 50:50 challenge
You will be loaned a crisp £50 note. It is up to you and your ingenious team to turn that into as much money as possible in 50 days before giving it all back to the hospice. Hopefully at least five-times as much! It’s a great chance to raise money for St Wilfrid’s whilst building team spirit and having some fun.
What will you and your team do?
You could use the £50 to buy cake ingredients and have a cake sale. Or how about buying some car-wash equipment and offering staff car cleans for a fee? You could have a gameathon, a raffle, a coffee morning… or maybe you have your own, much cleverer (and more lucrative) ideas.
Last year Gibbs and Dandy turned ÂŁ20 into ÂŁ500. After buying golf balls and prizes, they charged customers ÂŁ1 to putt 3 balls in the middle aisle of the shop. Anyone who got the ball into the hole spun the the wheel of fortune. They then spun to receive either an immediate small prize or entry into a raffle for a small digital radio.

How the money you raise will help
ÂŁ100 could help a bereaved child or young person by providing 5 sessions of counselling through our Seahorse Project.
ÂŁ250 could providing specialist care to people at the hospice and in their own homes buy funding two nurses for a day.
ÂŁ624 is enough to give a patient get expert help to manage their symptoms with a 24-hour stay on our Inpatient Unit.
Who will take home the trophy?
The team who has made the most money will be presented with the winner’s trophy by our very own Wilfie Bear.
Throughout the challenge you will have access to the leaderboard and an exclusive Facebook group, so you can keep an eye on how each team is doing. Could yours be the team that lifts the coveted trophy?
