Professional Placements
We provide clinical placements for pre-registration students studying at the University of Brighton in nursing, physiotherapy, social workers and occupational therapy.
We offer two-day training, three times a year, for medical students from the Brighton and Sussex Medical School, who come to study palliative care.
We host a day’s training six times a year for medical students from St George’s University in London, and paramedic students from Brighton and London.
We offer professional SPOKE Training days (Hospice Care for Health Care Professionals’ day) for those looking to get an insight into Palliative and End of Life Care.

Our education programme is designed to meet the needs of staff working in community health and social care settings.
We have training facilities on-site and a team of experienced trainers who are palliative care specialists. Courses can be booked by selecting the course below and filling in our booking form.

Staff development
We pride ourselves on delivering specialist care to our patients and their families. We are also passionate about influencing end of life care in all settings.
Throughout the year education and training sessions are delivered on topics relevant to staff. Clinical staff complete mandatory training, which includes updating and refreshing clinical skills. This is supported by online learning and a range of training events relevant to delivering safe and effective clinical care.
