Our Inpatient Unit

The Inpatient Unit has short-stay, en suite rooms. During your stay, we will focus on the issues that matter to you.

People are admitted to the Inpatient Unit so that a specialist team of doctors, nurses and therapists will provide a full assessment of your symptoms and concerns. This team will also help address worries and fears and help you to become strong enough to prepare for the future.

Each of the rooms backs on to a beautiful garden which you are welcome to enjoy. Family and friends are able to visit at any time and we also have facilities for carers who may wish to spend longer periods of time with the patient.

VOlunteer in hospice office

I'm part of an amazing, diverse team. We work to bring symptoms under control, enable patients to reach their goals, and ensure that people feel comfortable and safe.

Naturally there are moments of sadness, but there's so much love and happiness in the hospice. I remember we once looked after a lady who would save her pudding for he husband every single day - that really touched me. I don't think I've ever saved my pudding for anyone!

I can't cure anyone, but I can improve their situation and be part of a truly special time. It's an absolute honour to be able to make a difference.
