Charitable Trusts and Foundations

Gifts from Trusts and Foundations are vital in helping us to continue our work and launch exciting projects to better meet the needs of our community.

Some examples of projects currently funded by Trusts and Foundations are:

  • Our Seahorse Project offers counselling to Children and Young People who are facing the death of a loved one. This is currently funded by BBC Children in Need. You can read the latest update on the project here.
  • Our Community Support Volunteers programme offers befriending support to patients and builds connections with local voluntary organisations. This is currently funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. Read more about this here.
  • Our Learning Disability Project aims to increase access to our care for patients with Learning Disabilities and their families across our catchment area. This is currently funded by the Masonic Charitable Foundation through the Hospice UK Grant programme. Read more about the project here.

As well as specific projects we often seek trust and foundation support to buy essential equipment for our Inpatient Ward, Community Nursing Activity, and Living Well activities.

If you are a trustee of a trust or foundation and would be interested in finding out more about our work, please get in touch with Roz Bristowe, Donor Development Manager on 01323 434214 or rozelyn.bristowe@stwhospice.org
