Your regular gift makes a difference
Our Nurses are at the heart of the hospice. They provide care and support for patients and families 24-hours a day - in the hospice and in homes and care homes across our area.
This is only possible due to the generous support of our local community. Just 30% of the funds it takes to run the hospice and its services comes from the NHS, meaning we count on the kindness of local people to keep our doors open.

Why sponsor a Nurse?
For patients, being told that there are no more treatment options is scary. Our Nurses visit new patients at home to talk things through, reassure them and find out what they want or need from us.
They then work alongside our team of doctors, physios, occupational therapists, healthcare assistants, social workers and counsellors, to help the patient to live well at the end of their life - whatever that might mean to them.
Our Nurses are also on the end of the phone 24-hours a day through Nurse Line. This is invaluable to patients, families, carers and other healthcare professionals who need help, support and guidance, often in the middle of the night.

What difference does my monthly gift make?
£8 a month could help our Nurses to visit people at home by keeping our community car on the road for a day.
£10 a month could help patients manage their symptoms and remain comfortable in their final days by funding a Nurse on our Inpatient Unit for an entire day.
£15 a month could give reassurance to families and carers in the middle of the night by covering the cost of Nurse Line for a few hours.
