Hospice care awareness days for health professionals
The days provide an insight into the Hospice and the chance for multiple external students to gain greater insight into palliative and end of life care, as well as meeting additional learning objectives of their respective academic courses.
The days give students the opportunity to ask questions about the Hospice to existing staff members, and include content on the following areas:
- Stigma of death and dying, philosophy of hospice care and national policy
- St Wilfrid's Hospice overview (Including Tour)
- Identifying last year of life and the dying phase
- Rehabilitative Palliative Care
- Symptom Management and JICS
