What we offer
Throughout the year education and training sessions are delivered on topics relevant to staff. Clinical staff complete mandatory training, which includes updating and refreshing clinical skills. This is supported by online learning and a range of training events relevant to delivering safe and effective clinical care. Sessions are filmed and placed on our Learning Hub so can be accessed at any time. Nonclinical staff complete online modular training on topics relevant to their job role.
Staff are also encouraged to attend external education days, such as conferences and focused training sessions around different aspects of end of life care
For more information, please contact our Learning & Development Team via email at education@stwhospice.org
Non-clinical mandatory training

Conferences
As part of our role within the wider palliative community, our staff regularly attend relevant conferences to ensure our practice is up to date. Part of that attendance includes submitting abstracts in order to demonstrate the variety of work that we have undertaken here at St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
The latest abstracts that have been accepted as poster presentations can be viewed from this page.
