It’s the ultimate marathon experience; nothing beats the atmosphere, the setting and the roar of the crowd as you run up the Mall from Buckingham Palace towards the finish line.
The 2025 TCS London Marathon is taking place on Sunday 27th April. If 2025 is going to be your year to run one of the most iconic marathons in the world, then why not apply for one of our charity places and you could be running in Team Wilf, raising vital funds for hospice care.
Applying for one of our charity places
We have five places available in our team, and we would love to hear from people who have a passion to take on the tough challenge of training for and running a marathon, whilst supporting St Wilfrid’s Hospice. We are looking for runners who are able to raise a minimum of £2,000 for hospice care, but aiming for more is highly encouraged.
We receive a high number of applicants, and we want to allocate the places to the most dedicated of supporters, so make sure you are as detailed as possible in your application.
Applications are now closed. If you have applied, we will inform you of the outcome by the end of August 2024.
Have a ballot place?
If you are lucky enough to receive a place through the marathon’s ballot, then we would love for you to run in Team Wilf and use your place to fundraise for local hospice care.
If you choose to support us, the Events Team will provide you with:
- Regular emails with plenty of fundraising support and advice
- An invitation to join our private Facebook Group with other Team Wilf supporters
- Fundraising resources
- A St Wilf’s running vest to personalise with iron-on letters
- Cheer sticks and banners for your on-the-day supporters
- A Team Wilf cheer squad on the sidelines at the marathon
- A dedicated team to help you reach your fundraising goal
