24/7 Hospice Line

For patients, families and healthcare professionals

Our multi-professional telephone advice service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is a vital source of information, advice and reassurance for patients and families.

A nurse or other healthcare professional will be at the end of the line and will be able to give advice or refer on to the medical and clinical teams.

We will liaise with out-of-hours agencies to provide support as required and we work with the NHS and other teams if an urgent visit to your home needs to be organised.

Our Hospice Line number is 03301 272161 and is available 24 hours daily every single day of the year.

Nurse Line is now Hospice Line

Hospice Line replaced Nurse Line from 1st June 2026.

The improved 24/7 advice line for patients, family members and health professionals is shared with St Michael’s Hospice (Hastings and Rother). It provides an improved service at a reduced cost. Benefits include:

  • A dedicated team day and night, offering consistency and a quicker response time.
  • The ability to review medication and sort out urgent prescriptions over the phone.
  • Creating capacity for the rest of our team to spend more time with patients face-to-face.

If you are a patient (or family member) of the hospice, you don't need to do anything different. You can continue to use the Nurse Line number or the new Hospice Line number, and our trained, compassionate health professionals will be there to support you.
