Celebrating our Charity Champions!

Local businesses, community groups and individuals who have supported St Wilfrid’s Hospice were celebrated at a special awards evening.

The Charity Champion Awards 2025, held at the Hydro Hotel, was an uplifting occasion featuring inspiring stories and highlights from fundraising campaigns.

The evening included an awards ceremony, marking the achievements of standout supporters, including long-time volunteers, event sponsors and creative fundraisers who have helped raise vital funds for the hospice over the past year. Ryan Millns compered, and awards were presented by St Wilfrid’s CEO Colin Twomey.

Debra Elliott, Corporate Fundraiser, said: “Charity Champions is an opportunity for us to celebrate the fantastic support we receive from businesses, community groups and individuals. It was such an uplifting evening, and we’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended.

“Thank you also to our event sponsors, Madeira Windows and Eastbourne Gardens Care Homes Avery Collection, along with drinks reception sponsor, Coda Pharmacy. Everyone’s support makes a real difference to hospice care.”
