Tribute funds
An online tribute fund is a wonderful way to remember and celebrate someone special.
Creating a tribute fund in memory of a loved one provides a dedicated online space where family and friends can come together to honour their life, share memories, and celebrate the difference they made to those around them. It is like your own personal website, created as a lasting tribute to someone you will always remember.
Your tribute fund can help you preserve precious memories and reflections through words, photographs, music, and videos, creating a meaningful legacy that can be cherished for years to come.
With an online tribute fund you can:
- Invite family and friends to share their memories, messages, stories and photographs.
- Discover treasured memories and special moments shared by others.
- Share information about funeral arrangements, anniversaries, remembrance events and other important occasions.
- Keep a private bereavement diary and create a personal music playlist.
- Choose who can view your tribute fund, whether that is just you and selected family and friends or the wider public.
- Collect donations in memory of your loved one to support the care provided by St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
- Create a lasting record and legacy that can be treasured by future generations.
Whether you choose to keep your tribute fund private or share it more widely, it offers a special place to remember, reflect and celebrate a life well lived.

"We urge everyone to set up a tribute page"
Chris Wyatt’s family set up a tribute fund in his memory in 2019, after he was looked after by the Hospice at Home team. His daughter Natalie said the care her dad received was outstanding, and the family wanted to show their gratitude through a tribute fund. It has so far raised more than £34,000. Natalie said: "The Tribute Fund is a brilliant platform to raise money in memory of dad. Each year, we add new events, such as the memorial rides and charity golf days, and it is the perfect place to keep track of donations and messages of support. Friends and family members also use it to post photos and stories, or to light a candle in his memory. We urge everyone who has lost a loved one to create a tribute page, whether you choose to use it for fundraising, or just simply to remember."
Bereavement
Bereavement and the pain of loss are natural human experiences which everyone approaches in their own way. If you have recently been bereaved your first and most important sources of support are likely to be your family and friends. If the person who has died was a patient at the hospice we may be able to offer you additional support during your bereavement. We offer a variety of different kinds of support, such as one-to-one counselling or groups and events.
