Wish you were here

A creative remembrance event for children and young people.

Summer holidays often hold some of our happiest memories — a day by the sea, an ice cream in the sun, a moment shared with someone we love.

When that someone has died, those memories can feel even more important.

The Seahorse Project invites children and young people to a gentle, creative afternoon of reflection, connection and remembrance.

What to expect

During this relaxed, supportive session, children and young people will have the opportunity to:

  • Create a postcard or decorate a photo frame inspired by a happy memory
  • Reflect on and remember someone special to them
  • Connect with others who may have had similar experiences

All art materials will be provided.

Everyone is welcome to attend, and no prior connection to the hospice is needed.

The session is open to children and young people, offering a relaxed and supportive environment.

You’re welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks, or you can visit the on-site café during your visit.

We ask that children and young people attend with an adult family member, who stays on site throughout the event.
