Hospice supporters raise record-breaking amount at TCS London Marathon

Thirteen runners who completed the TCS London Marathon for St Wilfrid’s have raised a record amount.

Our ‘Team Wilf’ supporters have already collected more than £32,000, with money still coming in.

Ten runners ran the marathon in London, while a further three ran it virtually through the TCS London Marathon My Way system, which meant people could take part anywhere they wanted as long as it was completed on the actual marathon day last Sunday (26th April).

Events Manager, Beth Hillier, said: “Our supporters never fail to amaze us with their fundraising efforts, and this year’s marathon team have surpassed all expectations by raising the highest amount ever. We appreciate the time and effort from every one of them, as getting to the level where you can complete a marathon takes real dedication. So, thank you all.”

We have four charity places secured for next year’s event on Sunday 25th April 2027. If you are interested in applying, visit stwhospice.org/application-london-marathon-2027 for more information.

The TCS London Marathon’s public ballot closes at 4pm on Friday 1st May, so anyone interested in getting a place via the ballot should enter this, for another shot at running this world major event next spring.
