Lightning Fibre marks 8th birthday with support package for St Wilfrid’s Hospice

Blog written by Lightning Fibre.

To celebrate eight years since its founding, Eastbourne-based full-fibre broadband provider Lightning Fibre has continued its support for St Wilfrid’s Hospice with a special package of gifts and community sponsorship.

  • A £400 donation to sponsor a hospice nurse for three days

  • Free high-speed broadband connections for four hospice shops in Eastbourne

  • Sponsorship of two fundraising events in Hailsham and Eastbourne in 2026

The support reflects Lightning Fibre’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the local community.

Lightning Fibre’s COO, Ammar Jawaid, said: “As a local business, we like to mark our birthday by supporting the community in our home town. Sponsoring the incredible nursing care at St Wilfrid’s Hospice and installing free broadband for their shops are among the ways we can give back to the people of Eastbourne, who have supported us over the past eight years.”

St Wilfrid’s Hospice is grateful for Lightning Fibre’s continued support, which helps ensure vital care and services remain available to local families.
