Ways to support

Corporate Team

Easy ways your business can get involved

Event sponsorship and participation

Sponsor one of our exciting fundraising events or rally a team of colleagues to take part. It’s a fantastic way to boost brand visibility while supporting a vital cause.

Creative fundraising

Host a company-wide challenge, a dress-down day, or a bake sale—whatever works for your team! We love seeing businesses get creative with their support.

Payroll giving and match funding

Encourage employees to donate directly from their salary with payroll giving, and if your company offers match giving, you can double the impact of every donation. Find out more about Payroll Giving

Business incentives and collection pots

Incorporate a charity incentive into your business model—whether it’s a percentage of sales or a special promotion. A St Wilfrid’s collection pot at your till or reception desk can also make a surprising difference over time.

Become a partner

Partnering with us is a powerful way to raise your business’s profile while supporting vital care in your community through your local hospice.

Debra Elliott

My name is Debra Elliott, and I joined the fundraising team here at the hospice in July 2023, bringing with me over a decade of fundraising experience within the charity sector (mostly in hospices, an area of the sector that I really love), as well as over 13 years of previous experience in retail management.

For those of you I’ve not yet met, it would be lovely to say hello, perhaps over a coffee and a chat, and see how I might be able to support you and your business.

Please feel free to get in touch via email at debra.elliott@stwhospice.org, or call me on 01323 424221.

Dave Longman

I joined the hospice in March 2024 as a Corporate Fundraiser, bringing with me a background in retail and customer service. Having previously owned my own business, I had the privilege of sponsoring the hospice’s Starlight Stroll, which deepened my admiration for the incredible work they do.

My connection to the hospice is also deeply personal — my dad was cared for here, and my mum received invaluable support during that time. This experience has given me an even greater appreciation for the vital services we provide to families in need.

I’m passionate about networking and engaging with people, raising awareness of the hospice’s work, and helping businesses support us — whether through financial contributions, volunteering, or donating resources. It’s incredibly rewarding to bring the business community together to make a meaningful difference.
