Local Hospice Lottery

We're very proud to be working with Local Hospice Lottery, a weekly lottery set up to provide financial support to hospices throughout Great Britain.

If you want to learn more and sign up, click one of the 'Play now!' buttons on this page to visit the Local Hospice Lottery website.

About the lottery

St Wilfrid’s Hospice is one of a number of hospices throughout Great Britain who are supported by Local Hospice Lottery and all profits are donated to hospice care.

By sharing management costs and overheads, Local Hospice Lottery is able to offer both a larger prize fund to players and provide more money for hospice care. After marketing costs, St Wilfrid’s Hospice will receive between 55% and 80% of proceeds from individuals playing in support of St Wilfrid’s Hospice. As a comparison, the National Lottery gives 28% of proceeds to good causes and the Health Lottery gives just over 20%.

A full list of the charities supported, along with full terms and conditions and a players' guide, are available on the Local Hospice Lottery website, or upon request from ‘Freepost Local Hospice Lottery’.

What benefits are there for joining the lottery?

By joining the Local Hospice Lottery in support of our hospice, you're in with a chance of winning £2,000 every week, along with 152 other cash prizes, as well as a roll-over which can reach up to £25,000 (excluding Super Draw weeks where the £1,000 prize will always remain £1,000!)!

You'll also be entered into the two annual Super Draws, which have an additional guaranteed top prize of £10,000 every March and September. Best of all, you'll be supporting local hospices in their work and making a valued difference to real lives.

To join on behalf of St Wilfrid's Hospice, simply call

Freephone 0800 3160645

You can sign up for as little as £1 per week!

Our door-to-door sales team

To help us to recruit players, a team of door-to-door sales representatives will be working throughout our area. Each member of the team will be wearing a uniform and will have a Local Hospice Lottery photo identity card. You can also view members of the team on the Local Hospice Lottery website.

Thank you so much for supporting us! Good luck in the weekly draws!

Play the Local Hospice Lottery responsibly. Local Hospice Lottery is licensed by the Gambling Commission (www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk) under the Gambling Act 2005, and is a member of the Hospice Lotteries Association and the Lotteries Council, both of whom, on behalf of their members, make a financial contribution to the Responsible Gambling Trust (www.responsiblegamblingtrust.org.uk), , an organisation with the sole aim of fundraising to assist with problem gambling.  Further support can also be found at www.begambleaware.org.
