Your chance to own an original artwork.
Between 16th September to 16th October, St Wilfrid’s Hospice will be running an online auction of paintings, ceramics and photography, alongside an art exhibition in The Street Café.
The art showcased includes established artists with art in private and public collections throughout the world, together with up-and-coming local artists. There will also be a selection of pre-loved original paintings donated by our supporters.
We’re delighted that journalist, former presenter, and supporter David Dimbleby will be hosting the live auction — and he’s generously donating one of his own artworks to the online auction.
Every bid you make in the Art at the hospice auction will make a difference to the care we can offer patients and their families. We are hoping the auction will raise over £15,000 – enough to cover the cost of an average stay for a patient on our Inpatient Unit.
The auction will run for one month from 16th September to 16th October.
On Thursday 16th October, we will be hosting a private view and live auction at the hospice, hosted by David Dimbleby. The items being auctioned are:
Alayrac Pink (2023) by Mali Morris RA
Cottage in the Olive Grove, Paxos by Victoria Threlfall
Arabella and the Birds by Catriona Millar
‘Manon Last Scene’ – Stage Call by Deborah Macmillan
Chalk Face by Haydn Cottam
Personal Portrait by Chelsea Renton
Behind the scenes tour of The Towner, followed by lunch at Light donated by David Dimbleby
These items can be viewed on the auction website, but no online bids can be made.
