I recently met Brooke Strange, who is the Manager at Jane de Weck Photography in Eastbourne, and has been working there for the past 10 years. Jane de Weck Photography offer photo shoots for children, family, pets, location and celebrations, and also took the photos for the opening of the Cineworld in The Beacon. They have kindly donated six vouchers for our Online Auction, where the highest bidders will win a photographic session and one 8x6 mounted photo of their choosing from the sitting. I asked Brooke why she and Jane have chosen to support St Wilfrid’s.

‘We like to give back to charities; being nice is worth it’s weight in gold, but we chose to support St Wilfrid’s in particular as we have both had family cared for by the hospice. I also came in at Christmas to take photos of my neighbour who was a patient there. When I first walked in it was so calming and there is such a friendly atmosphere.’

Since being able to re-open after lockdown, the studio has put all of the protection measures in place to keep everybody safe. ‘We wear an apron, gloves and a face shield, and we also have hand sanitiser and tape on the floor for anyone who comes in.’ Brooke told me, ‘We also carry out temperature checks and have our customers sign a form for track and trace.’

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Brooke and Jane for donating their vouchers, and we know that whoever wins them will be very well and safely looked after!
