World Festivals programme In 2018 we wish to celebrate the diversity and vibrancy of our local catchment area, acknowledging that there are numerous practitioners of many different faiths and elements of spirituality in East Sussex. We have listed below a short calender of events we will be observing throughout the year with our partners in the community. Feb. Tuesday 12th – Tuesday 20th - Chinese New Year. Year of the Dog. Friday 16th is the key day. March Wednesday 28th – April Wednesday 4th – Lent and Easter (Easter is the 1st). May Tuesday 22nd – Tuesday 29th – Buddha Day. Focus is the 29th Wednesday 30th – Tuesday 5th – Spiritual Support Statement Launch and exhibition June Tuesday 12th – Tuesday 19th – Ramadan and Eid. Focus is on Eid, 14th – 15th. July Tuesday 17th – Tuesday 24th – Nelson Mandela Day on the 18th – focus on justice and diversity. September Tuesday 25th – October Tuesday 2nd – Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur itself is on Saturday 29th. November Tuesday 6th to Tuesday 13th – Diwali. Focus is on 7th November. November Tuesday 27th to December Tuesday 4th – World Aids Day. Focus is on December 1st. December Tuesday 18th – Thursday 27th – Advent and Christmas.
