Main site Volunteering with St Wilfrid's Opportunities Blog Volunteer Hub Wellbeing Driver Where: Wellbeing Centre and hospice catchment area When: flexible and dependent on need DBS: enhanced with adult barring check required Age: due to the role, minimum age 25 About the role Our Wellbeing Drivers are vital to many of our day patients, who wouldn’t be able to get to the hospice for their appointments and classes without their help. You will be driving patients to and from their own homes, providing calm and friendly companionship on the way. Key responsibilities Using your own vehicle to collect patients and drive them to and from the hospice Accompanying patients from your car to the hospice Notifying the Wellbeing team of any issues or concerns Complying with relevant hospice policies and procedures To comply with the relevant policies and procedures of St Wilfrid’s Hospice. Your skills, abilities and qualifications Full valid UK driving licence Insurance to cover voluntary or business work Access to a roadworthy car (ideally five-door) Safe, responsible, accomplished driver Good listening skills A helpful and friendly manner with a caring disposition Knowledge of our catchment area Apply and more information To apply please complete the application form and return it by email, post, or drop it in next time you’re at the hospice.
