About us:

St Wilfrid’s Hospice provides end of life support to the population of Eastbourne and the surrounding parts of East Sussex, from our stunning hospice building and through our highly skilled community teams. We are rated an ‘outstanding’ provider by the Care Quality Commission and have a clear vision of reaching increasing numbers of local patients and their families, in close collaboration with our community.

We provide a supportive working environment, which is demonstrated through our values: compassionate, professional, progressive, and respectful and these are embedded in our culture. We have a dynamic learning environment that actively promotes and facilitates opportunities for career progression through our competency framework.

The Role:

Our people are vital to the future of St Wilfrid’s Hospice and it is essential that we recruit and retain the very best individuals and offer a supportive, engaging, and rewarding working environment.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Recruitment and Operations Supervisor to join the Voluntary Services team at St Wilfrid’s Hospice. We are looking for a highly organised individual with proven experience of recruitment operations and project management.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the volunteer recruitment function as well as lead on exciting new developments and projects such as the implementation of a new volunteer management system.

Volunteers are an essential part of the hospice and over 500 volunteers support our work in different roles across the organisation. You will be joining the organisation at an interesting time, post-COVID, as we re-establish, review and rebuild our volunteer operations and the way in which we work with volunteers to ensure the best possible experience for volunteers and most importantly for patients, carers, and the bereaved.

Benefits included:

  • We offer a generous holiday entitlement of 27 days per year plus bank holidays
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Discounted cinema tickets
  • Employee assistance programmes
  • Additional training opportunities
  • Supportive working environment
