The Role:

Our people are vital to the future of St Wilfrid’s Hospice and it is essential that we recruit and retain the very best individuals and offer a supportive, engaging and rewarding working environment.

St Wilfrid’s Hospice is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist with relevant experience to join the Community Nursing Team.  We are an established community team providing specialist palliative care and support to patients and families in their homes, care homes and outpatient settings. The successful applicant will be required to work and be based across our catchment area.

We would welcome applications from registered nurses with advanced communication and decision-making skills. Physical assessment and prescribing qualifications are desirable, or a willingness to undertake study to achieve these.

The role requires autonomy and confidence and an ability to work across multi-professional teams within and external to the hospice.

This post provides an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity for candidates to be part of a supportive and committed team.

We may close the vacancy if we receive a high volume of applications.

Benefits included:

  • We offer a generous holiday entitlement of 27 days per year plus bank holidays
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Discounted cinema tickets
  • Employee assistance programmes
  • Additional training opportunities
  • Supportive working environment
