Hours: 37.5 hours per week with some out of hours working (30 hours considered)

Salary: FTE £32,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a forward-thinking Chaplain to build on the successful implementation of spiritual care. You will lead the ongoing development and co-ordinate the activities of the Spirituality Service of pastoral, spiritual and religious support to hospice patients, their families and staff members across all faiths and for those who do not associate with a particular faith.

You will bring significant demonstrable life experience within spiritual support and relevant co-ordination and leadership experience. Previous experience of working with or in a secular health or social care setting is essential. From a strong person-centred stance, you will be confident in meeting individuals’ spiritual needs, both in person and crucially, by empowering others to do so.

You will have strong interpersonal skills to effectively connect with people of all ages with empathy and compassion.

You will have a firm commitment to working collaboratively, both internally and through engagement with our local community.
