Lights of Love 2023

Lights of Love is a special celebration for all of us here at the hospice. It is an opportunity for everyone connected to St Wilfrid’s to come together, to reflect and remember. We welcome families, volunteers and staff – everyone who shares the poignant experiences of this extraordinary place.

We invite you to remember your loved one by placing a star on our beautiful tree and joining us at a remembrance event. The hospice relies on the generosity of our local community to support the work that we do. If you are able to make a donation in a loved one's memory, please be assured that every pound will make a difference to the care we offer our patients and their families.

Make a dedication

One of the most special parts of Lights of Love is the stars that are placed on our tree with the names of the loved ones we are remembering.

We invite you to dedicate a star to your loved one, and we will place it on the Lights of Love tree here in the hospice garden for all to see.

“The hospice home care team visited Dad at home every few weeks, and we always felt we had the support of the hospice through the 24hr Nurse Line.
There was always a friendly reassuring voice at the end of the line to answer our questions.

We took Dad to the hospice, where a lovely volunteer showed us round, and Dad decided then and there that this was where he wanted to be, nothing else would do. My Dad was so well cared for and virtually pain free until the end of his life. We cannot thank the hospice staff enough for the care and support provided at one of the most difficult times in our lives. Our family will remember Dad with a star on the Lights of Love tree this year.”
