Dragon Boat racing

Gather your team and join us on Saturday 31st August at Bewl Water for an afternoon of fun-filled, adrenaline-pumping, dragon boat action

Sign up for your Dragon Boat adventure today!

Dragon Boating is the ultimate sport for all abilities, and perfect for team building. No previous Dragon Boat experience is required as full training will be given on the day.

Crews of 13 to 17 people compete in races over a distance of 200m. Each crew is made up of pairs of paddlers and a drummer beating time to keep the paddlers in unison. A professional helmsperson will guide the boat.

On the day you will take part in three qualifying races. There will then be a final race for those who qualify. Each race takes between 60 and 90 seconds to complete.

Between races there will be lots going on, including stalls, games, and food and drink to purchase. You will also have your own dedicated space as your home for the day. Why not encourage your crew to bring the whole family, enjoy the day and cheer your team on?

Ready to get involved?

It costs £399 for a team of 17 to sign up (that’s just £23.50 each) and we are asking teams to challenge themselves to raise £1,000, or £60 per person, for St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

When you sign up to raise funds for St Wilfrid’s Hospice we will help you every step of the way. Speak to our team about how we can support you, or check out our downloadable resources.
