A message from Ruth, Head of Inpatient Care

Hello, my name is Ruth and I have the honour of leading the nursing teams at St Wilfrid’s Hospice. It's lovely to be able to share our plans to make Christmas special for our patients, ensuring they are comfortable, and controlling their pain so they can enjoy time with loved ones.

Christmas can be a particularly hard time for families coping with the serious illness of a loved one. We're asking for your help to make this time as precious and peaceful as possible for St Wilfrid’s patients, helping more families to make special memories of what may be their last Christmas together.

I'm pleased to introduce some of the people who will be working to help our patients to get home for Christmas, or, if this isn’t possible, to bring Christmas to them in the hospice.
