Corporate giving

The relationships we build with local businesses are vital to St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

Our new corporate network, Partners offers the chance to support us with a financial pledge, along with a fantastic range of benefits for your business.

There are many opportunities for local businesses to support the Hospice, make a valued difference to the local community and have fun whilst doing so! Click the buttons below to find out more

Partners

Our new corporate network, Partners offers local businesses a fantastic opportunity to support the Hospice with an annual fundraising commitment.

Each level offers brilliant benefits for your business, whilst helping St Wilfrid’s Hospice to continue our vital work in the local community, and St Wilfrid’s Hospice will be there to support your fundraising every step of the way.

Event Sponsorship

We always have a wide range of sponsorship opportunities for our events to suit every budget. If your business sponsors an event, your logo will appear on all promotional materials, giving you excellent PR opportunities. Sponsorship also helps our events be even more successful, so it’s a win-win for both us and you!

Event Participation

Enter a team to one of our big sporting events, take on a virtual challenge, or take part in one of our competitive corporate events.

Flip your way to victory in our Annual Pancake Race, gather a team of colleagues for our brand new Bubble Rush event, nominate your CEO to be locked up at Jail & Bail, or perhaps your most adventurous employees could take on a marathon, or trek the Great Wall of China!

Payroll Giving

Employees can opt in to give a small amount tax-free from their paycheque each month. These small amounts can really add up—for example, if 100 employees pledged £10 a month, St Wilfrid’s Hospice would receive £12,000 over a year. This would sponsor a Community Nurse for five months.

Matched Giving

Matched giving is a fantastic way to inspire your employees. The concept is simple: you match whatever they raise, boosting their morale by showing them that you support what they care about. Matched giving is a joint donation by staff and company: employees make an individual donation, either a percentage of their salary of a variable amount, and the company matches it, pound for pound. The amount you match is flexible and can be capped per person.

Collection Pots

Display a collection pot by your till for customers, or in your office or staff room for employees.

Our bright, turquoise pots are a brilliant way to show your support for the Hospice, and you may raise more than you expect! We have dedicated pot collection volunteers who will collect and replace your pot when it is full, and you’ll receive a certificate each Spring letting you know how much you’ve raised.

Donation Schemes

Our local business supporters have used various incentives to help raise money for St Wilfrid's Hospice. An estate agent donates £50 for every instruction in our catchment area. A local restaurant has an optional £1 donation on their Sunday roasts. One shop has a raffle that runs alongside their collection box— for each donation, the customer is entered into a draw to win a prize. There are lots of creative ways that your business could support us using a scheme—feel free to get in touch if you would like to discuss ideas.

Business Awards 2020

In October 2019,  St Wilfrid’s Hospice held its first Business Awards in recognition of the generous ongoing support the charity receives from its corporate supporters.  Corporate supporters both new and well-established, along with individuals who have made a significant contribution to the hospice’s work, were celebrated on the night.  Complimentary tickets to the Awards are included in our Platinum Level Partners.

Keep an eye out for the Business Awards 2020!
