Charity Champion Awards 2023
Do you know a local business who has provided outstanding support for the Hospice? Perhaps one of your colleagues has always been a champion for St Wilfrid’s, or you’re a local business owner who has done some fantastic fundraising for us?
The St Wilfrid’s Hospice Charity Champion Awards are back for 2023, and we want to hear from you! Nominations are open now until 13th October.
How it works
This year, we have six fantastic categories in which you can nominate either your own business, an individual or a business that you feel deserves the award. Please find more information on the categories below, followed by an online nomination form for you to complete.
Loyal Supporter
This award gives us the chance to look back at the amazing support that some local businesses have given us over the years. Our finalists in this category are dedicated to their continued support of the hospice, and it means a lot to us to have businesses who we can rely on year after year.
Small Business Supporter
This is a new category for us and one that we feel needs recognition! Businesses with under 20 staff are eligible for this – including sole-traders.
New Supporter
This award gives us the opportunity to thank brand-new supporters of the hospice within the past 18 months. 2022’s winner was Sykes Harley-Davison, who very generously donated a bike to us which we auctioned off and raised thousands of pounds!
Outstanding Charity Champion
This category is for the individuals who really go the extra mile to support us – perhaps they organise lots of brilliant work events, have encouraged their colleagues to get creative and fundraise for St Wilfrid’s or have taken on a fabulous challenge of their own. 2022’s winner was Catherine Clifford from Lansdowne Hotel, Eastbourne
Event Supporter
This category honours local businesses who have provided wonderful support for our events, or organised creative and fabulous fundraising events of their own! In 2022 The Park Lane Group took home this award. They sponsored our Rainbow Run event, had lots of staff take part in the event and raised a fantastic amount in participant sponsorship too!
Most Creative Fundraising Idea
This award celebrates the most creative, innovative fundraising ideas that our corporate supporters have come up with. We love it when our businesses come up with something new and unique to raise funds and awareness for the hospice!
PLEASE NOTE: The closing date for nominations is Friday 13th October 2023. Please state the name of the business/individual. What category you are nominating them for and why.
