For the third year in a row, volunteers at St Wilfrid’s Terminus Road shop have been busy knitting poppies for Remembrance Sunday. The volunteers and some of their crafty friends together knit hundreds of poppy brooches which they use to create a window display in the hospice’s town centre shop.

The poppies are on sale for £2 each and proceeds are split 50/50 between St Wilfrid’s and the British Legion. To date, this lovely scheme has raised a total of £1,200. Do support these worthwhile causes and wear your, knitted, poppy with pride.
