Lorraine Humphrey is the founder of Podiatry and Wellness Clinic in Polegate, and has donated a voucher worth £45 for podiatry or reflexology treatments to our Online Auction.

Podiatry and Wellness Clinic has been running for seven to eight years now and provides podiatry and foot care, such as nail cutting and nail surgery, as well as reflexology and clinical massage. They are currently in the process of moving to a new, state-of-the-art clinic at 3 Millfields, Station Road, Polegate. ‘It’s a long time coming, but it will be our own space,’ says Lorraine, and the clinic will allow them to have other practitioners – an acupuncturist and an advanced physiotherapist.

I asked Lorraine why she has chosen to support St Wilfrid’s and our Online Auction:

‘I experienced the work that hospices do when my partner, who I lost several years ago, was cared for by the nurses at Martlets, in Brighton. They would come out to us and they were so helpful.

My patients often talk about St Wilfrid’s; they have either known someone who has been cared for by the hospice, or would visit the cafe and the gardens, and talk so highly of it’s calm ambience. I have done Christmas raffles for charities previously, and decided that I needed to choose one charity to focus on and made it St Wilfrid’s! We currently have one of your donation pots, which my patients will often pop money into, but my new clinic will give me more flexibility for fundraising.’

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Lorraine for all her support and we wish her all the best for her new clinic.
