The organisers of Meads Xmas Bazaar have been incredibly supportive of St Wilfrid's Hospice over the years. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing coronavirus situation, the difficult decision has been made to cancel the Bazaar this year.

The popular event is usually a local highlight on the calendar leading up to Christmas. It offers an assortment of festive gift ideas and cards, as well as cakes, plants, toys and a raffle.

This year would have been its 37th year and this is the first time the event has been cancelled. However, they are still hoping to raise much needed funds for the hospice by fundraising online at

Jon, the event organiser, said: ‘Our volunteers and supporters have always been generous in raising crucial funds for St Wilfrid’s Hospice. With many other fundraising events also having to be cancelled, we are encouraging donations to be made online instead.’
