Want to talk honestly and openly about death and dying? It doesn't have to be as scary as you think - sometimes the best chats happen over a pint, a mojito or a cup of coffee.

We've created 4 unique beer mat designs which we've shared with pubs, restaurants and cafes in East Sussex all designed to get people talking. That includes you! If you've got questions about end of life care, death and dying, palliative care or any other unknowns you should always feel like you can share them.

So order a drink, sit down with a friend and get chatting - or use the hashtag #BeerChat and tag us in your post and we'll join in the conversation!

Dying Matters

Beer Chat forms part of 2018's Dying Matters Week - this national awareness week aims to get more people to talk more openly about death, dying and bereavement. This year, it runs from the 14th to 20th May and has the theme of 'What can you do... in your community?'. As pubs are hubs of the local community, we thought what better way of getting people to talk than over a drink with friends. We will also be out in the community - in the Langney Shopping Centre on Tuesday the 15th May, in the Arndale in Eastbourne on the 16th and in our shops and different community settings throughout the week. We hope to see you there.
