Main site Volunteering with St Wilfrid's Opportunities Blog Volunteer Hub Streets Ahead Beauty Therapist Where: Streets Ahead Salon, Inpatient Unit When: flexible to suit rota DBS: enhanced with adult barring check required Qualifications: minimum of NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy About the role Our Streets Ahead Salon offers a range of hair and beauty treatments to help our patients and their families switch off and enjoy some pampering. You’ll be using your skills to deliver a range of beauty treatments and make a real difference to patients with a life-shortening illness. Key responsibilities To complete a consultation form with each client and raising any contra-indications with the Streets Ahead Co-ordinator To deliver manicures, files and paints, hand and foot massages, facials and eyebrow shaping to patients, their carers, family members and hospice supporters Ensure treatments are carried out in-line with hospice policy and the requirements of the professional body to which you belong Feedback to the Streets Ahead Co-ordinator on delivered treatments, sharing any observations or concerns Your skills, abilities and qualifications Flexible and reliable Excellent interpersonal skills Active and self-motivated To hold a minimum of NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Apply and more information To apply please complete the application form and return it by email, post, or drop it in next time you’re at the hospice.
