12 month Fixed Term Contract (may be extended subject to funding becoming available)

22.5 hours per week

Flexibility to work out of hours on occasion is essential to meet the needs of our patients. Desired standard working days: Monday, Thursday & Friday.

£16,290.60 per annum (£27,151.00 FTE)

We are seeking a forward-thinking Community Spiritual Support Worker who, working with the Spiritual Support Lead, will help us to further embed spiritual support, across all faiths and for individuals of no faith, in the ethos of the organisation.

The successful applicant will be working with us for a period of 12 months on a Fixed Term Contract based mainly in the community but will also need to be available at need to other areas of the life of the hospice. This role, although currently a Fixed Term Contract, may be extended for a further period of time subject to funding becoming available.

You will bring substantial demonstrable life experience within spiritual support, relevant service development experience and some counselling experience. From a strong person centred stance, you will be confident in meeting individuals’ own religious or spiritual needs, both in person and crucially by empowering others to do so. You will have a firm commitment to working collaboratively, both internally and through engagement with our local community.

Informal enquiries are welcomed via David Knight, Spiritual Support Lead on 01323 434244 or email at [email protected]

We offer a generous holiday entitlement of 27 days per year plus bank holidays along with a contributory pension scheme.
