Fixed Term Contract for up to three years

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and confident communicator to help deliver our Big Lottery funded Community Engagement Project.  This role is a funded position for up to three years and is therefore being offered on a Fixed Term Contract basis.

You will spread the word about the care provided by St Wilfrid’s and how to access it, enthusing and inspiring individuals and organisations to engage with and support the hospice.  The successful applicant will have a strong track record of achievement in an externally facing role alongside experience of working with a range of different organisations and groups within local communities.

As an organised self starter, you will attend local events and give talks and presentations to local groups as well as recruit and manage a group of Community Link Volunteers based within local organisations.

This role will be part of a friendly and supportive team, committed to increasing access to end of life care for local people in Eastbourne, Seaford, Hailsham, Uckfield, Heathfield and Pevensey and the rural areas in between and beyond.

We offer a generous holiday entitlement of 27 days per year plus bank holidays along with a contributory pension scheme.
