Do you dare?

A spine-chilling evening of fun challenges, torch-lit tales, music, poetry and more - all at Eastbourne's oldest, spookiest Theatre, The Royal Hippodrome. This is one show you won’t want to miss!

Join the storytellers from Sussex Darkside, experts at bringing historical buildings to life through stories told, where they happened, by characters from the past. Explore the far reaches of the Royal Hippodrome Theatre, including areas usually closed to the public, and finish your evening spending the night in the dark on your stage-bound bed.

What you’ll need to bring

  • A sleeping bag/bedding, floor mat and a pillow.
  • Comfortable clothes to sleep in. We recommend bringing a dressing gown or a warm fleece/hoodie, along with thick socks as the Theatre space is large and may become quite cold. Extra layers are recommended!
  • A torch – it will be dark so it would be best if each participant had their own torch.

Your registration fee will include snacks for your ‘Midnight Feast’ and breakfast in the morning. Tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available throughout the night. Please let us know on your booking form if you have any specific dietary requirements.
If you would like to bring your own snacks, you are more than welcome to.

Why £200 sponsorship?

It may seem a bit of a random number but £200 is a significant number at St Wilfrid’s.

£200 could:

  • cover the cost of a nurse for our inpatient unit for two days
    • cover one of our community cars visiting patients for four days
    • cover the cost of a complementary therapist working in our
    wellbeing centre for three days
    • cover the catering costs for a patient for seven days

We hope you can see that £200 can make a huge difference in the lives of many in our communities.
