This trip is now full, but please return early in the new year as we'll be announcing our 2020 overseas challenge and opening registration to take part!

We're pleased to announce this truly memorable, once in a lifetime trip, trekking across the world's 3rd largest desert and experiencing something few have ever dared to take on!

Taking in the intriguing and vibrant capital of the Kingdom of Morocco, Marrakech is a wonderful place to begin your trek - a cultural marvel amid beautiful scenery. Your trek to the Sahara begins here, among the bustling markets, peaceful mosques and diverse entertainment of one of North Africa's greatest capitals.

The trek itself takes place in the Sahara, a huge landscape stretching nearly 4 million square miles from Red Sea in the East to the southerly Niger River. Despite its fearsome reputation the Sahara is a place of life in unexpected quarters, with lush acacias, palms and lustrous grasses adapted to the ferocious temperatures which may rise to 50c in record times. Many animals, birds and other creatures call the desert home.

St Wilfrid’s Hospice has teamed up with St Michael’s Hospice (Hastings and Rother) on this exciting fundraising event. Supporters of both hospices will come together to create one Trek Sahara team, and each individual will fundraise for their respective hospice.

Your funds raised will provide a substantial donation to St Wilfrid’s Hospice and also covers the cost of your travel
