St Wilfrid’s Hospice Business Awards 2020

Our annual Business Awards are back for 2020! Last October, St Wilfrid’s held our very first Business Awards at The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne. Corporate supporters both new and well-established, along with individuals who have made a significant contribution to the hospice’s work, were recognised on the night. After such a successful and enjoyable evening, the Business Awards are back to celebrate the incredible support that our corporate supporters give the Hospice.

How it works

This year, we have eight fantastic categories in which you can nominate either your own business or a business that you feel is well-deserving of the award. Please find more information on the categories below, followed by a downloadable nomination form for you to complete. If you have any further questions, please contact Corporate Fundraiser Hannah Hildreth on 01323 434221 or email [email protected]

Categories

Outstanding Long Term Supporter

This category honours those who have committed to supporting St Wilfrid’s over a long period of time. Last year’s winners were Barwell’s Solicitors, who had been supporting the Hospice since the early ’90s.

Outstanding Individual Supporter

This category is for the individuals who really go the extra mile to support us – perhaps they organise lots of brilliant work events or have encouraged their colleagues to get creative and fundraise for St Wilfs. Last year’s winner Julie Eltham, of the Athena Ladies Network, had championed St Wilfrid’s as Athena’s Charity of the Year, fundraising for us in many different ways.

Best New Corporate Supporter

This award gives us the opportunity to thank a brand new supporter of the Hospice. Last year’s winners were The Beach Deck & Treasure Island, who got involved with us in a big way by hosting our Starlight Stroll event, took part in our Golf Day and provided some brilliant raffle prizes too!

Most Creative Fundraising

This is an updated category this year, following last year’s Most Innovate Fundraising Initiative award, we wanted to open the category up to include any kind of creative, imaginative fundraising activity. Last year, Haulaway won this award for their inventive recycling scheme, Papers for St Wilfrid’s.

Fundraising Team of the Year

There are lots of opportunities to show off your team spirit when you support St Wilfrid’s, and this category is to honour local companies who worked together for the Hospice. Last year, PRG Ltd took home the award after participating in multiple events, including Jail & Bail and Kapow!

Best In-Kind Donation

A brand new category for 2020, that recognises that not all amazing donations are monetary. Many local businesses support the Hospice with donations of items or services in-kind, and we want to thank them for their generosity.

Best Small Business

Another brand new award this year, to honour the small businesses who kindly support us. We are always bowled over by the generosity of smaller local businesses in our area.

Outstanding ‘Partner’

This category is for businesses who are part of our corporate partnership network – Partners. No matter whether they are Silver, Gold or Platinum Partners, we’re looking for the companies who are working hard to reach their fundraising pledge, and really champion St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
