Our Open Garden at Framfield Grange felt like a preview of high summer as a glorious sunny day blessed the assembled volunteers and visitors!

The Grange is a glorious ten acres of garden with lake, shrub borders and a wild flower meadow with orchids. Woodland walks and bluebell glades with many hybrids and species of rhododendron and azaleas near a beautifully kept walled kitchen garden. We had so many comments from visitors about how well maintained all of the incredible areas were and what a pleasure it was to spend the afternoon relaxing in such lovely surroundings.

Our Men's Cooking Course had created a beautiful Victoria Sponge for visitors and it raised more than £20 for patient care. It was just one of the cakes and tasty delights on sale though and the event raised hundreds of pounds just through cake, tea and coffee sales.

Our hardworking Open Gardens team who volunteer their time and expertise to help make our gardens in Sussex a vital part of the local calendar. Last year they helped raise more than £18,500 for patient care and are hoping to raise even more in 2018 - with a few more gardens added to their timetable, we're sure they'll succeed!
