Newshome Candles supports UK hospices Newshome Candles is a small business from West Yorkshire that sells a range of hand-poured candles and wax melts. The products are all 100% natural, vegan, cruelty-free, and eco-friendly. Between now and Thursday 31st December, they will be donating £2.50 per candle sale and 50p per wax melt sale to hospices, like St Wilfrid’s, across the UK. Each customer is able to choose where the donation from their purchase goes by simply referencing their chosen hospice (for example: ‘St Wilfrid’s Hospice, Eastbourne’) in the order notes section at the checkout. We will then receive the total raised for us in January 2021 — a positive start to the new year. ‘In normal times, we’d be attending a variety of markets and fairs throughout the year — most of which make a donation to a local hospice or charity via our stallholder fee,’ Chris Taylor, the founder of Newshome Candles, said. ‘Not only do we miss attending these fairs and meeting our customers face-to-face, but we also miss the feeling of making a difference. It may not have been much but, as the saying goes, every little helps and I can’t wait to see how much we raise!’ To browse their products and to make a purchase in support of local hospice care, you can visit their website here.
