Volunteering with St Wilfrid's

Whether it's minutes or months, days or decades, every moment matters

Volunteers are at the heart of our hospice and play a vital role in everything we do. Without their time and generosity, we would not be able to provide our services to patients and their families.

We're always looking to welcome new faces to our amazing team. If you have some time to spare and would like to make a difference in your local community, we would love to hear from you. Click through the pages above to find out more.

Why not get involved?

As we celebrate our wonderful volunteers during National Volunteers' Week, Nikki and Paul from the Community Volunteering team would like to thank all of the Community volunteers for their help during the Covid-19 pandemic.

During the pandemic we asked for your help. We wanted to continue reducing social isolation and loneliness of patients and carers, but not in the same way as before…

Thank you for embracing new ways of working.

50 of you got in touch and offered assistance….

Thank you for being brave enough to try something new.

In these unprecedented times, you also responded to crisis situations…

Thank you for going above and beyond.

You have enabled us to support more patients and carers than ever before…

Thank you for helping us to build an even more compassionate community.

Amidst all of that you still found time to ask if we were ok…

Thank you for letting us have the privilege of getting to know you.

Many thanks,

Nikki and Paul
