International Women's Day at St Wilfrid's Women are the volunteers, doctors, nurses, patients, family members, supporters, organisers and leaders across our community who inspire and galvanise compassionate care across East Sussex. We've compiled just a few statistics for International Women's Day just from our hospice but the tangible and profound positive effect of women in the workplace is felt all around the world. 5 out of 9 trustees providing oversight to our hospice are women. 2 of our 4 directors leading the hospice are female. More than 70% of our managers are women across sectors from retail to clinical, volunteering to human resources. In fact 72% of the people who visit this website are women - that's 37,400 female visitors a year! Thank you to all of the incredible women who make St Wilfrid’s work. You make East Sussex a more thoughtful, compassionate and better place to live for all, all year round. On #internationalwomensday2018 we celebrate the amazing women who make us what we are: compassionate, professional, thoughtful and resilient. https://t.co/OgqHTPuL7d #IWD2018 pic.twitter.com/NEcXjtnH6a — St Wilfrid's Hospice (@stwilfridstweet) March 8, 2018
