Amateur photo competition for St Wilfrid’s Hospice COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED We will announce the winners shortly Calling all amazing photographers across East Sussex! Do you have a fabulous photograph capturing the heart of East Sussex stored on your hard drive/memory card, waiting for the world to see? A picture of the Downs in mid-winter? Lambs enjoying the first days or spring? Fabulous autumnal colours through Abbot’s Wood? The Seven Sisters in the summer sun? We need 12 stunning photos for the 2020 St Wilfrid’s Hospice calendar. Can you help? Ideally, we would love a range of seasons and ideas, but, please do not include people in your picture unless you can prove consent has been obtained to take and share the photo with a third-party. You can enter as many photos as you want but ensure they are labelled in the following way: YourName-YourCaption and sent to us as a small Jpeg (<1Mb). If you are selected for publication we will contact you for a HiRes version of your picture. So, please ensure any photo you submit can be reproduced at 300dpi. There are no cash alternatives to the prize offered. The prizes are not transferable. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit which include an identifiable person or persons have been taken with the permission of the person or persons pictured and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it. Copyright in all images submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. However, each winner grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to St Wilfrid’s Hospice, Eastbourne Ltd to feature the winning images in any of their publications, social media, websites and/or in any promotional material. All entries must be received by the advertised closing time and date or they will not be reviewed by the panel. Although multiple entries are accepted and encouraged, winners can only win one prize package. Multiple photos will not be selected. Winning photos must be available in 300dpi and at least 4MP (megapixels). Megapixels (MP) are different from megabytes (MB), as they refer to the dimensions and not the file size. To calculate your megapixels, multiply the X (width) by the Y (height) of your image or artwork.For example:1748 x 2480 pixels = 4.3 Megapixels. A file of this size is acceptable. The calendar will be sent to you on or before 31st October 2019. The panel’s decision is final.
