In 2017 our Grants and Trusts fundraiser, Mark, applied to the Morrison's Foundation in support of our 'Improving Patient's Care' appeal. Centred around replacing equipment fundamental to patient care in our In Patient Unit and enhancements to the environment in which patients and family member spend plenty of time, including our garden and landscaped areas.

The hospice team have already begun utilising these much-needed funds to help substantially improve the patient gardens - including some shades for our sun trap Patient Garden, which was a beautiful space but slightly too unshaded for some of our patients.

Over the course of the next 12 months we will be using the funding to replace vital equipment and rejuvenate the patient environment within IPU and help us to improve the care we can deliver there.

We're incredibly grateful to Morrison's and we would like to thank our local Hampden Park store for their continued support - it has already made a huge difference to so many.

One of our IPU 'Medicows' - a portable and secure access point for patient data which can be wheeled into patient's rooms - helping eliminate paperwork. These sort of improvements will continue with funding from Morrison's Foundation.
