The annual summer garden party is an occasion for volunteers to gather together to enjoy each other's company - and most importantly it's an occasion for the hospice to show its appreciation for all that volunteers do to support us.
Kara Bishop, Chief Executive (garden party speech July 2011)
In 2011 the party was attended by the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire.
