Make a valuable contribution to the day-to-day running
of St Wilfrid's HospiceA volunteer at the Hospice

These are some of the hospice volunteer roles:

  • Ward helper - serve meals and refreshments to patients 
  • Reception - meet & greet visitors to the hospice - Monday to Friday - various shifts
  • Day Therapy Driver - using your own car, transport Day Therapy patients in Eastbourne and Uckfield (mileage allowance paid)
  • Day Therapy Unit helper - support the Day Therapy staff in hosting up to 15 patients per day 
  • Administration & Library support
  • Chaplaincy 
  • Bereavement visitor
  • Gardener
  • Flower arranger
