Without the continued generosity of our community, we could not provide the specialist care and support to those who need us at their most vulnerable. Thank you! Kara Bishop, Chief Executive
What you do already

We would love to hear about your fundraising initiatives and ideas!

We are keen to support events and initiatives in schools in whatever way we can from advice and tips to materials and publicity. Let us know what we can do for you.

In return for pledging your support to St Wilfrid’s Hospice we can help to educate students about the ways in which their lives may be affected by the Hospice. Our goal is to link with local schools and create working partnerships which compliment the school curriculum and encourage innovation, resourcefulness, enterprise and social skills with young people as well as raising the profile of the Hospice and potentially raising vital funds.

You may have your own ideas about fundraising for charities and we are keen to support any initiatives you may have. Alternatively, here are some simple ways you can show your support for as long or as short a period of time as you wish.

Events in aid of St Wilfrid’s

Is your school holding an event during the term, perhaps a Christmas production, a musical repertoire or a sports event? Could we provide buckets for a collection or could we benefit from ticket sales?

St Wilfrid’s Events

Could we put our posters up in your school advertising our events? Could your school get involved with our events?

Christmas Magic

Now in all our major towns throughout our catchment area; could your school provide a choir or musical group, take part in the fancy dress competition or add something original to this seasonal event?

Other Christmas Ideas

  • Instead of sending Christmas cards to your classmates why not give donations to St Wilfrid’s?
  • Do you have any budding artists or photographers in your school that could enter our annual Christmas Card photography competition?

D-Day

Could your school organise a Donation Day and encourage students to bring in their good quality clothes, bric-a-brac, games, books and toys, which they no longer use, to be sold in the shops? Perhaps the students could organise their own Bring and Buy Sale giving them a valuable education in retail, particularly in the charity shop sector, and raising funds for the Hospice at the same time. Any left over items can be collected by the Hospice for resale in one of our shops.

Mufti Days

Could your school hold a non-uniform day and ask students to donate £1 to the Hospice for the pleasure of not wearing their uniform for a day?
