Without the continued generosity of our community, we could not provide the specialist care and support to those who need us at their most vulnerable. Thank you! Kara Bishop, Chief Executive
Schools get involved
Children suipporting St Wilfrid's Hospice
Pupils from Groveland School in Hailsham made stars for our Christmas Magic event!

We aim to build long term relationships with schools, inspire students to consider St Wilfrid’s as their charity of choice, and encourage innovation and enterprise to raise vital funds.

In return for pledging your support to St Wilfrid’s Hospice we can help to educate students about the ways in which their lives may be affected by the Hospice and the variety of work that we do.

St Wilfrid’s Hospice is delighted to be able to offer Schools the following:

  • Assembly talks (adapted to suit the student age range) on a variety of subjects including the clinical work of the Hospice, Fundraising & Trading
  • Curriculum-based class talks covering subjects such as RE, PSHE, History & Citizenship, linking with the Hospice and the work we do
  • Assistance and encouragement with fundraising events and initiatives
  • Work placements and Volunteer opportunities for students to develop their experience
  • Support and advice from Hospice staff, in relation to all aspects of the Hospice’s work (including bereavement counselling)
  • Visits to St Wilfrid’s Hospice to increase student’s and teacher’s understanding of our work
