Without the continued generosity of our community, we could not provide the specialist care and support to those who need us at their most vulnerable. Thank you! Kara Bishop, Chief Executive
A number of schemes throughout the year

St Wilfrid’s has a number of schemes related to Wills that it promotes each year and you are very welcome to participate in them:

1. Free Wills Month (June 2011)

The terms of our scheme

  • Solicitors offer a basic Will, or an update of existing provisions at no cost to clients aged 55 and over during the month of June.
  • In lieu of the usual bill, a donation would be given by the client to St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
  • Such a basic Will would not include trust provisions or other complicated work, which would have to be negotiated at an hourly rate in addition.
  • Members of the public taking up the offer are under no obligation to leave a gift to St Wilfrid’s. However, we earnestly hope that many will see a chance to support this local cause.
  • We will not expect to have a copy of the Will, nor to know its contents.
  • If ‘mirror’ Wills are required it is sufficient that one of the couple has reached the age of 55.

2. Charity Donation Scheme:

Cooper Carter Claremont Solicitors, 1 North Street, HAILSHAM. BN27 1DA

Support St Wilfrid’s by drafting Wills for the public and giving 10% of the cost of doing so to the general fund to support us.

4. House Clearance Scheme:

Similarly, we run a house clearance scheme, where Family and Executors would like help with disposing of their loved one’s possessions and would like them to go to a good cause.

We have a dedicated group of Volunteers, who all are trained and vetted by the hospice, who undertake this work, supported by our Donor Liaison & Legacies Manager.

They will make sure that the house is tidy and swept through once they have finished and all that can be used for the benefit of the patients is sold on behalf of St Wilfrid’s

If you would like to discuss your needs with somebody please contact our Donor Liaison & Legacies Manager. Please see Help and Support.
