Barry and Kirsty have raised £2,150 by organising a race night at the Hailsham Memorial Institute, in memory of their mother.

David recently ran the Brighton Marathon, raising over £2,156 so far! He ran it in 4 hours and 4 minutes! Huge thanks to David and everyone who ran in aid of St Wilfrid's Hospice!

£301.00 was raised recently from a coffee morning held at Paradise Park in Newhaven.

Our volunteer Sally accepted a cheque from the Eastbourne Indoor Bowles Club for £1,000. They have raised over £20,000 in the last 10 years for St Wilfrid's Hospice through producing and selling homemade cards!

Archer and Partners Estate Agents managed to raise £1,000 by offering photocopying facilities at its office in the High Street, Polegate. The £1,000 was matched by partners Graeme Archer and David Shelton - raising a total of £2,000!

St Wilfrid's Hospice took part in a 2 day collection in Eastbourne Town Centre on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th December 2011, where £1077.08 was raised!

The congregation of St Andrew's Parish Church was treated to an eclectic and entertaining evening at a music event in Alfriston, raising more than £800!


Fusciardi's Ltd raised £331 from a Christmas raffle. Massive thanks to all the staff and customers who donated.

Congratulations to this years winners, the team from The Langham Hotel. The whole afternoon raised over £1,700!
Second place went to the team from Breeze Associates!

A Slimming World group in Eastbourne have raised £140.56 from a Christmas raffle and collections.

Sussex Freemasons have donated £4420 for the hospice. For the fifth year Sussex Masonic Charities has presented a cheque, with every penny being donated by the freemasons. They are planning additional support for the hospice to coincide with the move to the new site.

Barclays Bank have raised £6864.80 following a series of challenging fundraising events - including a sponsored marathon and Barclays Pound for Pound Scheme. This picture was taken at the new hospice site.

Cross Way Church in Seaford held a Christmas Carol Concert in aid of St Wilfrid's Hospice and raised £965.79! Pictured are Janet Jenkins, a volunteer at the hospice and Helen Davidson, who works in Hospice At Home.

George Hosie completed an end to end journey from John O'Groats to Land's End on his bike. This sole journey took him 12 days to complete and raised £2,000. Huge thanks to him for his efforts.

Local resident Roger Hilton who works at Sussex Downs College, recently completed the Eastbourne Half Marathon, and is in training for the Brighton Marathon in April.

Employees of Boots, Eastbourne held a fashion show and Carnival of Delights raising over £900.

Local Eastbourne resident Dave Watson recently sky dived from 15,000 ft in memory of his close friend Stan Hurford and raised almost £1100 for St Wilfrid's.

Ian, Maxine, Tanieth and Elliott Kerr recently climbed and decended Mount Snowdon in an amzing time of 6 hours and 45 minutes, raising a fantastic £700 in the process.

Who raised funds for us by undertaking a range of fundraising activities.

Visitors who attended this years Tennis Championships held at Devonshire Park raised £920.
The Sussex branch of the NFU held a charity golf day in aid of St Wilfrid's. Unfortunately the golf was abandoned due to bad weather but the members still managed to raise over £2500. Andrew Pickering attended the Society's next golf day and presented a cheque to the members.

Greg Heath who along with Ben Davies and Will Eversfield completed the 3 Peaks challenge. They climbed the 3 highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike & Snowdon – inside 24 hours. That's over 10,000 feet ascent/descent and 500 miles of driving! Greg has raised over £1,300 so far. Picture below shows Greg at the peak of Ben Nevis!
The School Council held an afternoon of fundraising activities such as a mufti day, selling home made cakes and other fabulous activities. Wilfie Bear attended and gave his support to the afternoon. Everyone had a lot of fun and almost £500 was raised!
